April understands that reaching out for support can feel like a significant step, and her goal is to make that process as safe and comfortable as possible. Her approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, exploring how past experiences and relationships may shape the challenges a person faces today. In addition to this, she integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). This allows her to offer a diverse set of tools and perspectives, each tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients.

April works with youth, adults, and couples navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Individuals seek psychological assessment for a range of reasons, including educational evaluation, access to academic or workplace accommodations, and clarification of potential diagnoses. Psychological assessments provide valuable insight into cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning, while also identifying individual strengths that can support personal growth and well-being. I hold a master’s degree in psychology from Carleton University and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Queen’s University. I take a holistic, client-centred approach to care and am committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment in which individuals can better understand their unique profiles.
